manufacturing a variety of devices that use oxygen for home-based care, we contribute to the

Water-18O for PET cancer diagnosis
The FDG-PET examination method for the early diagnosis of cancer has been attracting
considerable attention in recent years. Taiyo Nippon Sanso is a manufacturer of Water-18O, an
original material for drugs used in FDG-PET examinations.
Taiyo Nippon Sanso is the first manufacturer in the world to use high-purity oxygen to produce
Water-18O by distilling and enriching oxygen-18 (18O) to more than 97%, utilizing know-how
based on air-separation technology.
